Bears v. Eagles Betting Preview: Best Bets, Player Props and Parlays

CHICAGO - Having no linebackers proved not to be a problem for the Chicago Bears last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, it is a little different when you are taking on the defending Super Bowl Champions and are short of your top four linebackers. That is precisely the position Chicago will be in on Black Friday (2 p.m. / Amazon Prime). According to DraftKings, Chicago is currently a seven-point underdog with an over / under of 44.5.

The point spread is honestly insulting to the Chicago Bears. While Philadelphia managed to shut down the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions earlier this season, it could not handle the Dallas Cowboys, a team the Bears beat in week three. Chicago will keep things close, as almost every game they have played in this season has come down to the wire. A $5 bet on the Bears to cover the spread (-108) has a payout of $9.62.

Philadelphia just allowed 24 points to the Dallas Cowboys, while the Bears have scored at least 20 points in every game this season, with one exception. The Eagles also have a lot of playmakers on offense, including running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver DeVonta Smith, who will both be active for this game after being listed on the injury report earlier in the week. This should be another high-scoring affair for Chicago, and therefore, the over will hit. A $5 bet on the over (-108) would also have a payout of $9.62.

Player Props

Quarterback Caleb Williams is coming off another multi-touchdown performance, while the Eagles are coming off a game where they allowed over 350 passing yards. This seems like a recipe for Williams to get some decent passing yards. Therefore, he will have at least 230 passing yards in this game, which is just about at his average for the season. A $5 bet for Williams to throw for at least 230 yards (+164) would have a payout of $13.20.

In each of the past two games, rookie running back Kyle Monangai has gotten a rushing touchdown. Monangai has emerged as Chicago’s red zone back, which gives him far more opportunities to score than fellow running back D’Andre Swift. Philadelphia has given up eight rushing touchdowns this season, which is not too far off from a lot of other teams. Therefore, for the third straight week, Monangai is going to score a touchdown. A $5 bet on Monangai to score a touchdown (+245) would have a payout of $17.25.

Philadelphia may not give up many touchdowns to wide receivers, but it does give up a decent number of receptions. Despite a decline in production compared to the beginning of the season, wide receiver Rome Odunze still appears to be Williams’ top choice, as Odunze was targeted nine times last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Therefore, Odunze will get at least five receptions in this game. A $5 bet for Odunze to have at least five receptions (+150) would have a payout of $12.50.

Same-Game Parlay

In a same-game parlay with Chicago covering the spread, the over hitting, Williams throwing for at least 230 passing yards, Monangai scoring a touchdown and Odunze having at least five receptions (+2600), a $5 bet would have a payout of $135.

DraftKings Featured Parlay - “Catching Fire on the Road”

This two-legged same-game parlay has Odunze with at least five receiving yards in the first quarter and a total of at least 50 yards in the game. Philadelphia also has a knack for giving up decent receiving yards to wide receivers, making this a good game for Odunze to get the ball throughout. A $5 bet on this parlay (+166) would have a payout of $13.30.
