Former Chicago Bears quarterback Mitch Trubisky has agreed to a two-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to multiple reports on Tuesday.
"I am beyond excited and blessed for the opportunity to be a part of the Pittsburgh Steelers organization," Trubisky said in a statement. "I have tremendous respect for the Rooney family and Coach Tomlin. They have built one of the best rosters in football and I can't wait to contribute and help this team continue their success." No word yet on the salary amount that Trubisky will receive on the two-year contract. Trubisky will be the expected starter since the retirement of future Hall-of-Fame Ben Roethlisberger. Last season, Trubisky was with the Bills learning from quarterback standout Josh Allen. In 2021, Trubisky completed six passes for 43 yards and a pick. This should be interesting to watch as Trubisky gets another starting chance in the NFL. Best of luck to Trubisky, as he gets another chance to start without Matt Nagy running things.
