Festa, 31, appeared in 19 major league games with the Rangers (18 games) and New York Mets (one game) in 2024, pitching to a 6-1 record with a 5.70 ERA (15 ER/23.2 IP). In 33 minor league games with Round Rock (six games), El Paso (16 games) and Syracuse (11 games), he posted a 2.70 ERA (12 ER/40.0 IP) with a 2-1 record and two saves. Festa was designated for assignment by the Rangers on January 6.
The Brooklyn, N.Y., native was drafted in the seventh round of the 2016 draft by the Seattle Mariners out of East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. The righty has appeared in 108 major league games (1 start) across parts of five seasons with the Mariners (2018-23), Mets (2024) and Rangers (2024). He owns an 8-3 record with two saves, a 4.60 ERA (60 ER/117.1 IP), 126 strikeouts and a 1.30 WHIP.
Mastrobuoni, 29, appeared in 110 games across parts of two seasons with the Cubs. All told, in 118 major league games, he has batted .219 (54-for-247) with nine RBI, 16 stolen bases and one home run.
