Everything you say is so true. I do believe they needed a closer. But as you pointed to the offense has been more than inept with runners in scoring position. Poor Almora, once again sitting on the bench just as he was beginning to prove himself again. It's about time to sit down strikeout Schwarber for a week or the rest of the year as far as I'm concerned and see what Almora can do as an everyday player. Nothing would warm my heart more thsn to see Schwarber go to the American league as a DH, that's his only role in the baseball.
